Our process

First meeting

At our initial meeting (in my office or at your home) you will be given a ‘Welcome Pack’ which will contain a plethora of useful information for you to read as part of the Will Writing Service I will be providing to you. This information includes the following information which you may find useful and informative: Wills Brochure; Inheritance Tax Information(IHT) ; Trusts Brochure; Property Protection Trusts Brochure; Example of a correctly signed Will; Lasting Powers of Attorney Brochure; Intestacy Brochure; Terms and Conditions; Standing Order Mandate (£25 p/y storage fee of Will); Deposit of £65 Invoice; this Welcome Letter and another Letter from me after we have together completed the WQ01.

At this initial meeting I will complete a ‘Will Questionnaire’ (WQ01) using the Will Questionnaire Guidance (WQG01) that has been designed for the purpose of aspirating and collecting all the necessary information that I will need to record about you that will form the basis and substance of your Final Will. Completing the Will Questionnaire may take some time since all the information I record MUST be accurate, up-to-date and thorough. Once the Will Questionnaire is completed I will then ask you to pay an initial deposit of £65.00 and you will be given a receipt for this.

I will answer all your questions throughout the initial meeting with skill, care and due diligence. Once the meeting is concluded, I will begin to prepare your Draft Will at my offices using the information I have gained by completing the Will Questionnaire and any other relevant information that you have provided to me at the initial meeting.

Second meeting

You will be presented with your Draft Will and Draft Will Overview so that you can read and check that all the information is accurate and correct and of course perfectly depicts the ways in which you wish your assets to be distributed and to whom. If you are satisfied with your Draft Will, you will need to sign the Draft Will Approval Form that will be provided to you at this meeting. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your Draft Will, and you need to make any changes or modifications to it, I will record the changes that need to be made at this meeting. I will then set about making the changes required.

Third meeting

If you have agreed and were satisfied with the contents of your first Draft Will at the 2nd meeting you will be presented with your Final Will which you will be required to read thoroughly and sign it in the presence of two witnesses who must not be beneficiaries or spouses or civil partners of the beneficiaries of your Will. The two witnesses must then sign after they have witnessed you having signed your Will. Your Will is then a valid Will pursuant to the Laws of England and Wales. If you were not satisfied or happy with the contents of the first Draft Will for whatever reason you will be presented with a 2nd Draft Will that was changed and modified according to your instructions at the 2nd meeting. If you are satisfied with this 2nd Draft Will you will be required to sign the Draft Approval Form and you will be provided with another Draft Will Overview. I will then be able to set about producing your Final Will.

Fourth meeting

Where you have agreed and are satisfied with the contents of your 2nd Draft Will, at this final meeting you will be presented with your Final Will which must be signed by you firstly and then by your two witnesses in your presence who again must not be beneficiaries or spouses or civil partners of beneficiaries. Your Will will then be a valid Will pursuant to the Law of England and Wales.

I trust that this lays out the procedure in a clear and transparent manner. Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. You can rest assured that I will use the fourteen years I have studied Law to provide you with a Will Writing Service that will result in 100% client satisfaction.
